Balloon's to heaven

On Friday the 13th of February, 28 green helium balloons where released by family members from Parafield Gardens, Adelaide in honor of Troys first heavenly birthday.

It was my 5 year old granddaughter who suggested we write a personal message, she wanted to draw love hearts on her balloon for her uncle.

I added tags to each balloon in the hope that somebody may just happen to

come across one, and for the briefest of moments know that my son did exist

and was loved.

This page has been created with much appreciation to the wonderful people whom may just stumbled across one of Troy's balloons and take the time

to let us know.

We no longer release balloons

We no longer release balloons in memory of Troy and have not done so
for many year after being educated

on the devastating effect it may cause. These effects include:
creating litter, harming wildlife

and causing power outages.

When a balloon is released into the air,  it will eventually come down,
and when that
happens, it can fall in unwanted places.

Birds, turtles and other animals and wildlife commonly mistake
balloons for food,
which can harm or even kill them.

In addition, many animals can become entangled in balloon strings,
which can
strangle them or hurt their feet and hands.

The metallic coating on foil balloons conducts electricity and can
cause a short circuit
or power surge when in
contact with power lines. This can lead to power outages, damage

to  wires, and sparks that could start fires.

To Rose Hayward & family

I would like to personally Thank you and your family for taking the time to let us know you found one of Troys balloons.

It truly touched my heart knowing you carried Troy's card around in your purse for so long, and I know in doing so, you shall have an angel watching over you and your family always.

I have been unable to email you as my computer wont allow your email address to show via this site. The dark blue balloon would most definitely been one that was released by me in memory of one of Troy's angel friends for their heavenly birthday or angelversary.

Balloons are sent to heaven with this website attached in the hope that some one special like you comes along and for the briefest of moments know that my son did exist and was so very much loved.

thoughts with u
One of my children found the remnants of a dk blue baloon with string & card still attached tangled in a rose bush in our front yard about a year ago. At the time we didnt have a computer or any access 2 the internet so i put the card in my purse but could never bring myself 2 throw it away. Today I once again came across it & wanted 2 let u know we found it & though i never knew Troy, i know he must have been a very special young man & was obviously deeply loved by all his family and friends. Best wishes & much sympathy 2 u all. rose hayward & family.

In loving memory
image On the 28th of march my family where at my grandparents farm just north of port pirie, we where helping them clear the property. My eldest son was picking mandarins from the large tree near the home and found a balloon entwined in the branches. On further investigation we discovered it was released in honor of Troy on his first anniversary. I thought you would like to know the heart warming  message attached was from Troy's mum. In honor of Troy and to help keep his memory alive we purchased another balloon and attached his card before releasing it. God bless Troy's family, Joanna Bortyard
