Friday 13th of February 2009, 28 green helium balloons where released by family members from Parafield Gardens, Adelaide in honor of Troys first heavenly birthday.
It was my 5 year old granddaughter Chloe, who suggested we write a personal message, she wanted to draw love hearts on her balloon for her uncle.
I added tags to each balloon in the hope that somebody may just happen to
come across one, and for the briefest of moments know that my son did exist
and was loved.
This page has been created with much appreciation to the wonderful people whom may just stumbled across one of Troy's balloons and take the time
to let us know.
WE NO LONGER RELEASE BALLOONS
We no longer release balloons in memory of Troy and have not done so
for many year after being educated on the devastating effect it may cause.
These effects include: creating litter, harming wildlife and causing power outages.
When a balloon is released into the air, it will eventually come down,
and when that happens, it can fall in unwanted places.
Birds, turtles and other animals and wildlife commonly mistake
balloons for food, which can harm or even kill them.
In addition, many animals can become entangled in balloon strings,
which can strangle them or hurt their feet and hands.
The metallic coating on foil balloons conducts electricity and can
cause a short circuitor power surge when in
contact with power lines. This can lead to power outages, damage
to wires, and sparks that could start fires.
We now write Troy's name in the sand to keep his memory alive.
The Drewick family
The Drewick family wrote Troy's name in the sand on a beach in Western Australia. They posted on his condolance page (25) on May 3rd, 2009. I am so grateful for their thoughtfulness and compassonate messgae. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for thinking of my son.
To the dear Mitchell family, I found your precious Angels site by accident
while looking for another angel with a similar name. I was so touched by the
love you have shown on the pages for your beloved Angel Troy,
that it just broke my heart. I have not lost a precious child and
will not pretend to know what you are going through.
.
I was so inspired by "Christine" from the balloons to heaven page for
writing Troys name in the sand that I also wanted to write your precious
Angels name in the sand while my family and I where staying in Perth,
Western Australia.
.
God bless your family and may your Angels light always shine
brightly and warm your heart with precious memories of Troy.

To Rose Hayward & family
I would like to personally Thank you and your family for taking the time to let us know you found one of Troys balloons.
It truly touched my heart knowing you carried Troy's card around in your purse for so long, and I know in doing so, you shall have an angel watching over you and your family always.
I have been unable to email you as my computer wont allow your email address to show via this site. The dark blue balloon would most definitely been one that was released by me in memory of one of Troy's angel friends for their heavenly birthday or angelversary.
Balloons are sent to heaven with this website attached in the hope that some one special like you comes along and for the briefest of moments know that my son did exist and was so very much loved.
