The Cord

We are connected, My child and I,
By an invisible cord, Not seen by the eye.

It's not like the cord that connects us til birth,
This cord can't be seen by any on earth.

This cord does it's work right from the start,
It binds us together, Attached to my heart.

I know that it's there, Though no one can see,
The invisible cord from my child to me.

The strength of this cord is hard to describe,
It can't be destroyed, It can't be denied.

It's stronger than any cord man could create,
It withstands the test, Can hold any weight.

And though you are gone and not here with me,
The cord is still there, But no one can see.

It pulls at my heart, I am bruised..I am sore,
But this cord is my life line, As never before.

I am thankful that god connects us this way,
A mother and child...Death can't take that away!

There was a boy who stole my Heart and I called him
Troy

A Dad Hurts Too

It must be very difficult, to be a man in grief;
Since "men don't cry" and "men are strong", he smiles through his tears.

It must be very difficult, to stand up to the test;
And field the calls and visitors, so she can get some rest.

He goes through his day doing what he's supposed to do;
But a piece of his heart has been ripped away. a dad hurts too.

They always ask if shes alright, and what she's going through;
But seldom take his hand and ask "my friend, but how are you?"

He hears her crying in the night, and thinks his heart will break;
He dries her tears and comforts her, but stays "strong" for her sake.

It must be very difficult, to start each day anew;
And try to be so very brave ~  "he lost his child too!"

There is no time like the old time

when you and I where young

Brother and Sister forever

Your name is so precious, It will never grow old,

it is etched in our
hearts, in letters of gold.

Perhaps they are not stars in the sky
but rather openings in Heaven
where
our loved ones shine through
to let us know they are happy
...
